Social Media & Graphic Design Coordinator
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Availability throughout the week, and occasionally the weekend, with an ability to respond as required
Job description The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) is the national umbrella body for the Ukrainian community throughout Australia, representing state ‘hromada’ organisations, churches, youth and women’s organisations, and educational, social and other groups. Reporting to the AFUO Communications Manager, the AFUO require a dynamic, self-motivated, highly organised Social Media & Graphic Design Coordinator to run our social media channels and assist with graphic design projects. This will include managing and posting content on social media, designing graphic material, planning and developing social media campaigns and increasing AFUO’s presence on social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Creating, writing, reviewing, editing, updating and posting content for existing AFUO social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
- Developing new social media platforms for the AFUO, including LinkedIn and YouTube
- Assisting with the creation of visual content, for example infographics, videos, etc for the AFUO website, newsletter, and AFUO sub-committees
- Developing social media campaigns related to AFUO initiatives and campaigns for example, expelling the russian ambassador from Australia or economic boycotts of companies still dealing with russia
Skills and qualifications:
- Experience as a social media designer or a similar role
- Experience in creating social media strategies and campaigns
- Graphic design skills
- Excellent English & Ukrainian verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail, including proof reading
- Organised, responsive, proactive, flexible and able to work as part of a team
