We run a free school teaching clothing production, an ethical manufacturing studio and a socially conscious retail shop.

Tasks & responsibilities: As a seamstress/garment machinist, you will be working in our friendly and culturally diverse production team on a range of clothing, homewares and accessories. You will be sewing using plainstitch and overlocker machines, and can also be trained on coverstitch. We are not a factory; we are a studio, with lots of opportunity for creative learning and development. Our school is located in the same space as our manufacturing unit which means we often bring our students around to show them what the team is working on. Qualifications & experience: Minimum 5 years experience in clothing production as a seamstress/tailor/garment machinist, experience with industrial sewing machines a must. Patternamking and design skills a plus but not essential
Required Language Skills: We are a culturally diverse workplace with workers from 10 different cultural and language backgrounds. However we all communicate in English so some ability to speak and read English is needed.
