Pay range ($AUD): $30-$32
Tasks & responsibilities: Austex Dies Pty Ltd is Australia’s leading extrusion die manufacturer. This position is an integral part for the in house die manufacturing and extrusion processes. We are now seeking to employ an experienced Fitter Turner to assist with our in-house die manufacture process.
Applicant must demonstrate:
- experience on the lathe accurate workmanship
- be quality driven and understanding of properties and machinability of tool steel used in the manufacture of extrusion dies for aluminium product
- ability to turn blank on soft and hard state on CNC lathe
- manual turning on borer
- finishing with a high degree of accuracy
- usage of radial drill.
As part of the recruitment and selection process, candidates will be asked to complete a pre-employment medical (including drug screen and physical assessment).
Qualifications & experience: Fitter or turner
Required Language Skills: Minimal
